Dream High 2 Episode 7 (Recap?)

Episode Seven (oh shit, just three more till a confession or kiss is made…how will they do it?!...):

So this episode is all about adding a detour in the road. Where the road is headed to? I don’t know.  Due to some misunderstanding Hae-Sung’s father comes to the school to take her home, claiming she has made no headway in the past three years. Which I agree with, in six hours I have only heard her sing once (seriously) and every opportunity she gets something either goes wrong or she is just mediocre. Anyhow, without notice, she ups and leaves. The following day the students ponder her absence during class only to find obviously placed letters in their lockers. For the life of me I can’t figure out how they missed them and where she got the time to write them all, there was at least fifteen, talk about leaving behind an impression…And with that a whole pity fest for Hae-Sung occurs, forgetting the past 6 episodes that led up to her being ostracized. Getting near the end, JB finds her and pleads for her to be able to stay and soon after her teachers join in. Her father is adamant but gives her an opportunity none the less, and she SCREWS IT UP!!! She is told to sing a song and she can’t or doesn’t. I don’t know why and it pissed me off. I need to know that she wants this and I don’t. I am guessing that she has stage fright and I would be okay with that, they just need to tell me damn it! She ends up leaving all the while Yoo Jin plans to cheer her on from afar by having him and his newly formed crew give a performance of a song she wrote on the radio. JB takes this as stealing and demands answers, causing more dilemmas for the once thriving (?) Rian/JB couple.

Dream High 2: Episodes 1-6 (Recap?)

I am watching Dream High right now and all can say is, it’s like a comedy? I know I shouldn’t be thinking that way, but the emotions are unwarranted.  I feel nothing for any of them.

I am beginning episode 7 and so far little has happened to get up to this point. The school is found to be in ruins and the kids are cheaters with little motivation (and talent?). There is this guy (Jin Yoo-Jin) who is sort of the head honcho at the place, selling his compositions as a side gig. Meanwhile there is this love struck girl (Shin Hae-Sung) who has devoted herself to an idol named JB. At the beginning she is not doing so hot, and has committed herself to rituals that will further her career, or something like that. Anyhow, there is this new law floating about and all the idols under 18 must stop working by ten (or twelve), and the new idols aren’t taking it easy. Somehow or another this a group of idols (including JB) end up going back to school, reluctantly of course, and the residing students are ecstatic, mostly Hae-Sung. During their stay a competition for a new elite idol band is formed, basically something that divides the good students from the bad. The students are told to form a duet and that one them will be kicked into lower class. Hae-Sung teams up with Rian, another idol forced to take a break, believing that the two of them are friends. During their performance Hae-Sung’s microphone is tampered with and she is unable to sing, and as far as I know, I skipped things here and there, she did it on purpose. She was trying to gain sympathy? Please correct me if I am wrong, because it kind of makes me dislike her to a certain extent. Everyone finds out and she is ostracized. Meanwhile Yoo-Jin has left a mark on the teachers and they begin to brew up a plan for him, though he is still put into lower class…The two of them, Yoo-Jin and Hae-Sung, form a friendship based on their outcast-like status. He starts to like her, and from then on is on her side. All the same JB and Rian are out and about being dicks, still having public favor though. The last two episodes get the wheels spinning for a possible romance between JB and Hae-Sung and Rian and Yoo-Jin, all of course built on the foundation called misunderstanding and teenage hormones.

Well…I guess it does seem like a lot happened, but this is six hours’ worth of plot…
More updates soon.
